I used to love shopping at the sephora store in Schaumburg employees were polite and knowledgeable about products.I moved and the closest store is this location in Naperville. For the past months visits have been very unpleasant. There’s some employees that are very rude specifically one her name is Griselda, you can tell this lady just hates her job is, the quality of her service is very poor.
This is the worst Sephora location. Came here to do the return without a receipt for new not used product. My friend gave me the perfume for my birthday that I already have. She was visiting here from another country, paid cash, has no local phone number. The employees gave me the hard time and refused to do the return for store credit even though the Sephora website says “New or gently used items returned without a receipt but found within our system will be processed according to the applicable Sephora refund and exchange policy”. Griselda said she is the manager and was looking at me with a smirk all the time. Then store manager Alexis came out and for every question and concern we had her answer was ‘I don’t know”. We felt frustrated and uncomfortable, She ended up telling my husband to walk away from her store!

Walk in and no one greeted me or knowledge me while I was shopping. I felt followed but no word from any employees. What is wrong with Sephora don’t they teach their employees about the importance of good customer service and how to treat everyone equal despite their skin color or race. Not everyone that walks in your stores comes with the intentions to steal! Come on I walked in with my toddler and husband. I owned business and live in the area, just because i’m Latina i’m classified as i’m going to steal something. I will make sure to contact corporate and discuss this situation to them too.
Horrible customer service. I attempted to return a product with a receipt. It was purchased on 06/29 and today is 08/29. Every other store I have ever returned a product to counts the 29th to the 29th as 30 days, so today would be the last day to return the product. Not only was the employee unable to help, but was also unwilling to have a manager help. I was only asking for store credit and it was refused. I was told “July has 31 days” with a snarky attitude. Even if Sephora counted out the days, today is day 61 and they were completely unwilling to even offer store credit. I will not continue to shop here. Especially this location.
Quinn was super helpful when helping me revamp my makeup bag! I needed all the help with color matching, recommendations, etc. and she went above and beyond. :)
I normally have pretty good shopping experiences here, but I suppose it’s because they have to be helpful to make their sales. However, my experience today for some returns is making me question going back there. On my last visit I spent $$$ for several different items since I tend to buy what I like that moment and do further research on the item at home, before deciding to keep or return. This last trip was a bust and ended up bringing back almost everything (unused). When the employee saw my items and the receipt she made the comment “is there anything on here you’re NOT returning?” and then at the end made another comment about the length of the return receipt. This was incredibly uncomfortable for me to experience. After the return I had intended to purchase more items that I researched beforehand and planned to keep, but ended up leaving and spent my money elsewhere.
A dear friend of mine convinced me to come to this particular Sephora to meet Brandon because of his superb customer service. He did not disappoint! Brandon was super helpful and had the best recommendations. Not to mention his blush was on point!
I walked in and wasn’t even acknowledged by a single employee but when i did go ask some white girl for where a product was instead of helping me she stood there occupied with her apple watch instead. it was terrible customer service all …
